Genshin Impact Fans Are Unhappy With Inazuma’s Four-star Characters

Genshin Impact fans start a discussion about Inazuma’s four-star characters being weaker than the other major regions.

Two banner cycles are available for each Genshin Impact upgrade. Each banner cycle features one to three five-star characters and three four-star characters. Because they are more likely to drop than five-star units, four-star units are easier to obtain.

OceloteOcelot, a Reddit user, started discussing the current status of four-star characters in Inazuma. According to the thread, all four-star units in this region are much weaker than those from Mondstadt or Liyue. Thoma is the first character that players encounter when they enter the region. While many thought he would be the strongest of the four-star units in the game, he proved to be another shield provider. His greatest strength is his ability to allow two strong elemental reactions – Vaporize and Melt.

Gorou is another character mentioned in this thread. He is currently part of the limited banner Oni’s Royale. Gorou, despite being a strong support character, is still dependent on his party having several Geo characters. His elemental skill, Inuzaka All-Round Defense, has effects that depend on how many Geo is in his party. If Gorou is not paired up with Arataki Itto, a Geo claymore user, his damage potential drops significantly.

Numerous comments in the comment section claimed that developer HoYoverse intended to make four-stars as strong as Inazuma characters from the beginning. Many four-star characters, such as Bennett, Fischl, or Chungyun, proved more potent than anticipated. Many consider Bennett, the fan-favorite Pyro user, a better choice than some of its five-star characters.

The new roster additions seem such a niche because there were fewer playable units in the game’s early stages, meaning that more characters had to be generalized and could fit into different roles within a team. Razor and Ningguang were both four-star DPS characters. They were S-tier picks for quite a while. Many fans believe that HoYoverse may introduce stronger four-star characters by adding Sumeru in the next update, 3.0.

Genshin Impact is now available for mobile, PS4, PS4, and PS5. A Nintendo Switch version of Genshin Impact is in development, but no release date has been confirmed.
